Austin Football-Go Rams!

Last night was Austin's party for the end of football season. They had an awesome freshman team. They won all of their games except Poky...BOO HOO! Austin started on defensive at corner, special teams on kick-off cover and held the ball for extra points. He has such a wonderful attitude. He is always happy and is looking for ways to make others feel happy. There is never a dull moment with him on the team. Ean Filiaga, one of his best friends, taught the team the Haka and they did it before the games. Austin loved his coaches....especially Coach Sorrell. His head coach, Coach Green, is know to be a little intense at times but when he started to be, Austin and Ean would do one of their impersonations and Coach Green would end up laughing and walking away. He was a little sad to see it end....but is looking forward to basketball which starts next week. No rest for the weary.......

IT'S GREAT TO BE 8

Hailey "Boo" turned 8 on Halloween. It is so hard to believe how fast 8 years go by. She is such a sweetheart.....so caring and sensitive of others, very bright, a hard worker and just a delight. We went to her baptism last weekend. She radiated with the Spirit. It was fun to be all together celebrating such an important step in her life. We love you Hailey "Boo"!

Congratulations Kyle! Thursday night we went to the Utah vs TCU game. It was so much fun. TCU scored off it's first two possessions and then Utah's defensive held them the rest of the game. Utah scored a touchdown with 1 minute left in the game to go ahead for the first time. The fans went crazy and stormed the field after the game. It was such a HUGE win for Utah and for Kyle. We were so excited for him! GO UTES!

On Monday we had a visit from one of Griff's mission buddies. He returned home from Colombia a couple of weeks ago. He and his parents were traveling from Provo to Rexburg and stopped to see us. They are from Corvallis, Oregon. It was so much fun. I immediately said "Can I give you a hug? You are the closest thing to Griff! He said. "Well, I just was with him two weeks ago." He told us all about the country, the people and the missionary work. It was so fun to just see the glow he had and just how much he loved the experience. He said that Griff was always teasing them, some things never change, and that he was doing so good. Bill had to leave while they were here and as he drove out of the driveway in his truck, Scott said, "Is that truck with the "little" dent. That is a story that will have to be shared later but I couldn't believe Griffin spilled the beans to them about that story.....maybe he was in the repenting mood!!!

Trick or Treat

What a week this has been! A great one at that......let's start a week ago. We went to Nyssa, OR to Lee and Anna's last weekend and went trick or treating with them. I'm sure we had the cutest Spooks around.....Kirstin and Ben were pirates, Erin was a banana, Josh was Indiana Jones, Jordan was Darth Vedar, Kira was a "love bug", Hailey was a 50's girl, Malerie was a princess and Avi "doo" was a elephant.
