FHE....OUTER LIMITS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIN....not quite yet but we decided to start celebrating Erin's 16th birthday a little early and go to Outer Limits for Family Home Evening.  We played black light mini golf and Kira played on the toys.  Afterward we stopped at Farr's for some ice cream.  It was a fun night!

 Jordan hanging with the mermaids.
 What's that look for Jord?
 Ya...I'm cool (:
 The brothers....
 And father...is he scared?????
 Watch out...this dinosaur is hungry!

I think Josh just got goosed!
Cutest cowgirl around....Kira loved the toys.

Jordan chose "play dough" ice cream.

Josh loves ice cream. He chose "moose tracks".
And Daddy-O went for the super sized maple nut waffle cone.
Erin, who usually doesn't like ice cream because it is so cold, chose cookies and cream.
I love to be with our family!

Really.....34 years?

Bill left for his mission to South Africa 34 years ago this month.  It is hard to believe that it was that long ago.  He had some incredible life changing experiences.  President and Sister Wood were a big part of those experiences.  It was Sister Wood's 80th birthday and we were invited to help her celebrate at a mission get together at the Brummer's home in Provo.  We laughed, cried, and felt the Spirit.  It was a wonderful evening with some amazing friends.  We are so grateful that relationships are eternal!

This is Tony Wood, President and Sister Wood's son.  He was a teenage when Bill was on his mission.  When Bill was AP, he was without a companion for a while and Tony was his companion.  They had some great experiences together and loved each other as brothers.
Wow can you believe Sister Wood is 80? (She is second from the left.)  These are some of Bill's closest friends on his mission.  Dean Kaelin, an amazing composer and musician, Sister Wood, Alisa Wood Wightman, the Wood's daughter who lived with them in South Africa for a while, Tony Wood, Bill and Doug Stone.  Doug came to our wedding....he and another mission friend slept in the park in Idaho Falls the night before our wedding.  Long story....but non the less Doug's personality to a tee.  He is awesome!

A Dream Come True......

Austin's dream has been to see LaBron James play basketball.  He was his biggest fan when he played for the Cavilers and followed him when he went to the Heat.  So Austin came up with a plan for him and Griff to go to the Jazz vs Heat game in Salt Lake for Griff's birthday.  He talked his dad into buying tickets on the 2nd row. (We won't mention the cost!)  There were only two there, thank goodness, so Bill sat 10 rows up.  Austin and Griff got to go to dinner before the game and got treats at half time.  LaBron had an awesome game....the only sad thing....the Heat lost in the final seconds of the game.  Griff liked that though...he was cheering for the Jazz.  It's only right for the "Birthday Boy's" team to win!
Going to dinner before the game.....
 Court side before the game.....
Austin and Julian Bowie, another Heat fan.
There he is big as life.....LaBron James.....pretty good seats, huh?

So while the men were at the basketball game, Whitney and I went to the Utah gymnastics meet....and yes we got in for free.  The Redrocks won.....it was so much fun!  Go Utes!

Practice Makes Perfect

When Griff and Whit came up a couple of weekends ago, Whit needed someone to practice doing an IV on.  Everyone ran and hid when she mentioned it except good ole Bill.  He gladly volunteered to be the pin cushion.  It ended up not being bad at all.  Whitney did a great job.  She is going to be the best nurse ever.
 He is even smiling.....
