So You Think You Can Dance....

Griff brought his young men from his ward in Salt Lake to Pocatello for their high adventure.  They went tubing in Lava, rode horses, toured the potato processing plant in Blackfoot and went shooting.  One evening, Dave and Roxanne came over and taught them to square dance.  We arranged for some girls to be here to dance with them and Erin was in seventh Heaven.  After they were finished square dancing, Griff put on some music and Erin immediately grabbed one of the boys and started dancing with him.  Everyone loved it! They were all clapping along.  No one loved it more than Erin.....she loves to dance!

Who's leading who is this dance?

Erin accidentally stepped on Griff's toe.  Do you think it hurt?

LOVE LAVA

We have only been to Lava two times this year.  Hard to believe when we use to go once a week.  Josh and Jordan sure had a lot of fun!  It's so nice that they have each other and that they are such good buddies!

 First platform.....get ready, get set....GO!

Oh No!  Is that Jordan on the 3rd platform.
Cowabunga Dude......

Josh's Fort

Josh decided to get creative with pallets after he and Erin unloaded all the pellets in the shed.  He took two whole days hammering away and had so much fun.  A perfect hide out when he has nerf gun wars against his friends.

A Camping We Will Go

Our annual family camping trip took us back to Banbury Hot Springs where we went two years ago.  This time we borrowed the Eggleston's "house truck" which made it a lot more convenient.  We swam at the pool, went to Dierkes Lake, roasted hotdogs and smores around the campfire, fished, sang camp songs around the fire and even had some thoughts shared by our Patriarch papa.  It was so much fun.  We really missed Griff, Whit, Kirstin and Kira.  Hopefully next year we can all go together.

Papa setting up his tent or should I say MY tent.  Best way to camp ever!
Kalli can't wait to go swimming.
Avi, Branson and Anna.....Avi showing us her underwater technique.

The infamous log in the middle of the pool.  Who can stand on it???
 Like mother, like daughter....BEAUTIFUL!

 Wu La La...Erin!
 Boo did it....
 Campfire fun...
Ryan, our Eagle Scout had to get the fire going for us.
 Hotdogs anyone????
 The mighty fishermen....Jordan and Josh.
We can't go camping without the tandem.
Dad you weren't really trying to sleep were you?
The cliffs at Dierkes....who will be brave enough to jump?
 There goes Boo..
 Next is Josh...
And yes, Jordan shows us some fancy jumping.
Will Erin be brave enough to do it?
NO Erin it's not sky diving!!!! Ouch this is going to hurt!
She survived and was a tough cookie...Her response afterward, "Well at least I conquered my fear of heights."
The diving board looks much safer.

Avi, Jordan and Branson playing in the sand.
Josh, Mal, and Boo climbing on the rocks.
 Kalli is having fun!
Erin is still in one piece, thank goodness.
Jordan ran up to camp and said, "I caught a fish."  I hurriedly got the camera to take a picture.  Needless to say the fish had been dead for some time and he found it in the bushes.  He's still very proud though.
He thinks he wants to bring it home and put it in a tank in his bedroom.....I don't think so!
So much fun around the campfire!
Time to pack up.....Lee puts on some protection from ?????  I don't know what!

So sad to say goodbye for another year.  Daddyo had to leave early to help with the fire cleanup at home so he didn't get in the departing picture.

Looks lonely without us, huh?  We will return......

IT'S SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE...

How can you be excited yet dread something at the same time?  All of us are so excited for Austin to go on a mission.  It is something that we and he has dreamed about since he was a little boy.  But, when it comes to saying goodbye it just isn't easy.  We borrowed John and Karen's 15 passenger van so we could all go together to take Austin to the MTC.  We got to Provo early so that we could have something to eat before he went in.  We went to IHop, the same restaurant we went to before Griff went into the MTC.  It was raining when we left the restaurant so we went up to the Temple where there was a cover to take some pictures and say our goodbyes.  Austin is so tender so when the tears started flowing from his eyes we all joined in.  He will be an awesome missionary, but he will also be missed very much!
Is this what you call his last meal?????
