BLACKFOOT TRI

I can't believe I actually agreed to do it!  The last time Caitlin and I did the Blackfoot Tri was 4 years ago.  I thought I was going to die!  The swimming is an open water swim in Jensen Grove.  Four years ago it was on the 1st weekend in June and the water was 50 degrees.  Can I just say COLD.  I have never swam in that cold of water.  Well, lets just say I didn't swim. I floated on my back for 1/2 of a mile.  This year it was much better.  The water was warm....we didn't even wear wet suits. It was so fun because Cait, Ryan, Ashley, Gary, Jenn, Jess and I did it together.  Family makes everything more fun!
(Aunt Bev was there to take pictures...thanks Bev!)
Oh! and I must add....Cait did the tri for 2....she's 6 months pregnant.  What a girl!
All smiles before we begin....Cait, Ryan, Gary, Ashley, Jenn, Jess and Me.
 Aren't we babes....
 Get ready, get set......
Out of the water and onto the bike.....

DIERKEES TWO

We had so much fun the first time we went to Dierkees that we had to take Griff and Whit and go back.  Erin actually had a Dr. appt for her orthodics so we made it a fun day, too.  Alex Carlson and his friend Tracy met us there.  It was a perfect day, sunny, hot and not too crowded.  Wish it was just a little bit closer and we would go more often.

Cait, Alex, Tracy, Kalli, Griff, Whit and Jordan.
 Kalli likes the water....
Deciding the best place to jump...
Wow!  Didn't know that Alex had those gymnastics skills.
 Whose next???
Jordan, of course, in his yoga pose.
 Next...
 Go Griff!
Hey what happened to the gymnastic skills?
 Ryan won't be left behind...
 Cutest frog baby ever!
 Mermaid Erin...
 She loves the water....

Happy Birthday to Me!

                                                        I AM SO BLESSED!
Today I turn 54 years old.  Didn't think it was possible for time to go so quickly! I still feel like a twenty year old in so many ways.  I wouldn't trade the things I've learned in life and  the experiences that I have had to be 20 again.  I am so grateful to have been born, as Nephi, to goodly parents.  They are the best mom and dad ever!  They taught me responsibility, hard work, honesty, and so many other wonderful values through their example and word.  I was blessed to be born in a wonderful community surrounded by great friends.  I had the blessing of having the gospel and the choice to be baptized when I could understand what I was doing.  I am so grateful for my amazing husband, children and grandchildren.  They are my life and I love them with all of my heart!

Today my dear friend Rhonda, Griff and Whit made me dinner.  It was so good.  They showered me with thoughtful gifts. Their greatest gift is their love.  I am so blessed!
