I never thought I would see Austin with a part in his hair. Earlier in his mission he sent us a picture where he tried to put a part in his hair and it was pretty funny looking, for sure. Yesterday, Sister Hansen, who is the wife of the mission leader in the ward that Austin is serving in now, sent us pictures of him with a part. She said that President Morby told the missionaries that they needed to have a part in their hair. So....Austin taking him at his word, and wanting to be 100% obedient, got his hair cut really short and then (I think) had a line shaved in his hair for the part. He told Sister Hansen that he didn't think his dad would approve. Bill said. "As long as he's being obedient, I'm great with it."
What do you think...is it just a part or is it shaved into his head?????

Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy!
The kids got two days off of school so we decided to head south to see Griff and
Whitney and hopefully some sunshine. It has been a cold winter and we were ready for a little warmth. We got it both in the hospitality of Griff and Whit and the warm sunshine of St. George. It was a weekend filled with swimming, shopping, laughing, visiting, church history and most importantly just being together.
Who are those two behind the mustache????
Cedar City has an awesome rec center pool. Kira had a ball!
Look out.....the bucket is going to tip AND it is filled with water!
KABOOOM......

Jordan was so sick. We took him to Insta-Care to see if he needed an antibiotic. Kira thought we needed to document the Doctor checking him out.....(she took the picture)
We went on a tour of the Tabernacle and Brigham Young's winter home. So grateful for our LDS heritage.
Two of Whitney's favorite things.....Griff and dancing. She is exellent at both!
We hiked in the rocks by Pioneer Park. It was so fun to be outside in the warm sunshine.
Jordan (not feeling so well), Josh, Erin and Kira ready to hike up the rocks.
This was the coolest cave the pioneers built to live in while they were settling St. George.
Griff and Whitney by the front door.....
Josh and Kira by the fireplace inside.....
Daddy-O checking out the fireplace....
Griff, Whit, Me and Daddy-O inside the front door....
Erin found a rock to rest on while she was climbing.
I Love to See the Temple......The St. George Temple from Pioneer Park.
It was a hard job but someone had to hold up this rock....Whit, Josh, Jord, Erin and Kira.

Another PRINCESS!!!
What's cute as a button, pink, button nose, pink, rosebud mouth, pink and all dressed in ribbons and bows? It's the next addition to our family. We are going to have a new princess in July. Griff and Whit sent us a cute card that we had to scratch off to see what they were having. It was pink and so we knew it would be another princess. We couldn't be happier. I'm already starting to plan all of the princess parties we are going to have together. July can't come quick enough!
Do you think that Roxy already looks jealous?NO CHRISTMAS!
Have you ever known a child to not want Christmas? Well, that is Jordan. He whines and complains before Christmas every year if we don't have snow because he thinks that Christmas and snow just go together. Then about this time of year, he is tired of the snow. So every time it snow he says,
"NO CHRISTMAS!"
The other day he had had it. He went outside and started shoveling the snow off of the backyard and putting it into the sled and then taking it and dumping it in the field. It only took him 30 minutes to realize it wasn't going to make much difference. He came in the house, threw down his coat and again said, "NO MORE CHRISTMAS!
You've gotta love that boy!
Companion #3...
Austin was transfered after 7 months in Happy Valley. He had been there his whole mission. I think it was kinda like going out on his mission again, leaving Happy Valley. That was home to him and he had grown close to so many people. They were his family. He was excited for the new adventure. He is now in Reedville which is actually part of Hillsboro. His new companion is Elder Barney from Arizona. His companion has only been out 4 months so that makes Austin the senior companion. He is a follow up trainer. The most important thing is he is loving his mission and growing so much everyday. We are so proud of him!
The Field is White....
Austin and Elder Jolly were able to teach this sweet sister and see her enter the waters of baptism. Her husband was already a member. This is pay day for missionaries....to see someone you love and serve covenant with Heavenly Father to be part of his kingdom.
The field is White all ready to Harvest!
LOVE is all you need....
"If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one. That way I will never have to live without you."
That is one of my favorite quotes. Winnie the Pooh said that to Piglet. That's exactly how I feel about my sweetheart. We aren't big on giving gifts on Valentines Day. But, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't hear "I love you" from my sweetheart and I think that makes Valentines Day everyday! I am so grateful for the love that I receive from my sweet husband and from our wonderful children and grandchildren. They mean everything in the world to me. I guess you can say I'm in "love" everyday....
Mindy has someone make these darling cookies for each of the kids for Valentines Day. They look too pretty to eat, but some how they find a way to eat them right up!
The Hutchinson's and the hungry missionaries....
Is Austin trying to look taller or skinnier?????
Devil or Angel....I think that Austin is an angel!
Whitney made this darling banner for us for Valentines. I love it over our bed and I just think it will be there not only on Valentines but all year long.
May you feel "Love" all year long!
