God Bless America

We always look forward to the 4th of July.  We are so grateful for our freedoms and what it means to be a citizen of this wonderful country.  We are so grateful for our founding fathers and their vision that we need our Heavenly Father in our lives.  We are also grateful for all those who have selflessly fought to protect the freedoms we enjoy.  We are proud to be Americans!

Love Lava!

Lava will always have a special place in our hearts! Griff, Cait, Kalli, Hannah, Lee, Anna and the kids were all here and the one place we always head in the summer is Lava.  The past week has been hot...right around 100 degrees everyday and since we don't have air conditioning, it was a wonderful idea to cool off.  In fact, it sounds good right now.  Let's GO!

Encampment: 100 year of the LDS Church & Scouting

All scouts and their leaders gathered in Firth for 4 days of fun.  There were 10, 500 young men and leaders in attendance.  How would you ever plan and organize something of this size?  Whoever did it, did a fabulous job.  The boys had so much fun.  They got to go on the climbing wall, shoot rifles, BMX bike, repel, and many more things.  They were able to earn the "Thomas S Monson Award".  They had a card that had certain things they had to do to earn the award.  All the boys in our ward, including Josh and Jordan, earned the award on Thursday.  Then they all earned it again on Friday for our dear Bishop Eggleston.  It was a once in a life time opportunity and I'm so glad Josh and Jordan got to participate.  They had a great time!

Congratulations David and Kelly!

My nephew, David Seppi, and Kelly Warren were married June 22, 2013 in Boise.  They asked Bill to marry them.  We went up on Friday for the rehearsal and dinner.  It was windy and cold.  They had to move the dinner in from outside because it was so cold and windy.  I was a little worried about Saturday because the wedding and reception were outside.  We had no need to worry because the weather was perfect.  Kelly's mother passed away from cancer almost 2 years ago.  It is still very tender for her.  Bill told her during the wedding that he believed Heavenly Father allowed those we love who have passed to witness special times in our lives.  He said that he hoped she could feel her mother there with her.  It was a very spiritual moment.  I know that my family all felt the spirit there.  They are perfect for each other and so cute together.  It was so fun to be with everyone to celebrate!

                                                                 Ann and Kathleen
I have the most beautiful, fun sister-in-laws ever!  I know that Heavenly Father blessed me with them when he took my sister home early.  I sure love them!

Happy Birthday Austy!

Happy Birthday Austy!  He turned 20 years old....I can't believe it.  He got a present that he really wanted....Labron and the Heat won the NBA Championship! He also got transferred two days before his birthday.  He was sad to leave Elder Nielsen but he has a great attitude and wants to be where the Lord wants him to be.  He is doing awesome.  We are so grateful for his obedient, positive spirit!
Happy Birthday Austy....We LOVE you!

 His new companion Elder Osgood.
Austy and his missionary buddies....Elder Nielsen is on the right...they had a great time together.
Looks like he has been working out a little bit on his mission....

Happy Birthday Mindy!

We all gathered for a birthday celebration honoring our dear Mindy!  We are so grateful for her.  She has brought so much happiness into Grandpa's life and has blessed all of ours as well.  She is so kind and thoughtful.....always remembering our birthdays and every other special holiday.  We couldn't let her special day go by without saying
"Happy Birthday Mindy...We LOVE you!"

Spinderella 2013

One of these days I'm going to get Spinderella right!  Last year I rode all the way to Inkom with my helmet on backwards.  This year I didn't check the pressure in my tires and rode the whole 50 miles with only 30 lbs of pressure in my tires instead of 120 lbs.  It was the hardest 50 miles I have ever ridden and I couldn't figure out why.  I was relieved to find out why it was so hard but sad that it was when it was all over!  It was such a fun ride though!  Caitlin came and rode with me.  Roxanne also rode but she went 70 miles and smoked us.
When we started the ride, the temperature was in the 30's.  Just a little bit chilly to say the least.  But by the end it warmed up and was such a beautiful ride.  There is nothing better than seeing the beauty of our surroundings on a bike.

I put my helmet on backwards in remembrance of last year...looks like Kalli is following my example!

And we are off.....it was freezing!

We made it....the best riding partner ever!

Roxanne doesn't even look tired after 70 miles....what a girl!
