Happy 21st Birthday Austy!

                                                                 Happy Birthday Austy!
Twenty-one years….where does time go?  Austin has been so much fun.  He is full of life and he has such a tender heart.  His birthday was 5 days before he came home from his mission.  We were so excited to be able to celebrate a little late but with him.  Can't wait to see what his life holds in the next 21 years.  I'm sure whatever it is, it will be a ton of fun.
                                                                    Love you Austy!
Austin always wanted to be just like his big brother Griff.  When Griff was a cub scout, Austin had to have his own uniform and do exactly what Griff was doing.

The day after Austin's birthday they had a baptism.  Arie, the girl in the red, was baptized.  What a wonderful birthday present!

Dance, Dance, Dance

Erin loves to dance!
She decided to take a dance class.  It was at a studio that didn't do competitions.  At the end of the year, they did have a recital for families.  Erin did two dances.  She knew every step and in fact she was showing the other girl in the dance what to do.  It was so fun to see her so happy doing something she loves. We love our Er-Bear!

Kira came to cheer on Aunt Erin...
Erin's best friend, Noel Chapman and her sisters Molly and Jenna came to watch too….
Griff, Maddie and Whit were here to cheer on Erin...

Happy Birthday Mindy!

This year we gathered for a Birthday picnic to celebrate Mindy's birthday.  It was fun to have all the family plus Mindy's mom and dad together.  We are so grateful for her.  She is so kind and works so hard to make things special for us. And she takes such good care of grandpa.  We hope she knows just how much we love her!  Happy Birthday Mindy!

Growin' Up!

Josh spent most of June picking rock for Uncle Mike.  It wasn't a fun job.  Most of the time it was hot and dirty.  Josh never complained.  He worked hard.  It was worth it all when he got his first real pay check….the smile on his face was priceless!

Luv to Ride...

This year Caitlin and I weren't going to be able to ride in Spinderella because I was going to Spokane to Nathan's wedding.  So we decided to do the Lava to Chesterfield ride.  I hadn't been on my bike since last year.  It was a fun ride….the scenery was beautiful and there was hardly any traffic.  Ryan and Whit were meeting us with the kids at the pool to go swimming after our ride.  When Caitlin and I got to the rest point in Bancroft we looked at each other and said, "Let's go back now so we have longer to swim!"  So we didn't do 50 miles, but we did do 36.  Not bad for the first time out for the year!  The best part was riding with Cait.  We enjoyed just visiting and being together.

Such a fun riding partner….

Welcome home Elder "Michael" McNabb

Michael returned home from the Arizona, Mesa mission ten days before Austin.  It was so fun to go to the airport and watch him come off the plane.  I had chills thinking about Austin doing it in just a few days.  Michael looked awesome….I love seeing those fresh, obedient, returned missionaries!
Well done Elder McNabb!

Summer Fun!

Griff, Whit and Maddie have been here all summer.  Griff has been working around the yard and he has done a fabulous job.  We have loved having them here.  We have done lots of fun things too…rode horses and gone swimming….two of our favorites!

Fun on the lazy river….Delanie, Maddie and Whit.

Eternal Families…..

This was a different Memorial Day for us.  We usually go to Lava and have a picnic with mom and then go to the cemetery.  Mom got sick in the middle of April and had to go to a rehab center so she wasn't home on Memorial Day.  The responsibility to decorate the graves fell on me.  I was glad to do it but I know how important it is to mom that it is done just right so I felt a little pressure.  I think they turned out really pretty.  Griff, Whit and Maddie were here and came with us.  It was nice to be together to pay respects and remember those who mean so much to us.  I miss my dad and grandparents and think of them often.  I am so grateful for eternal families!

I'm so grateful for my dad.  As time goes on I appreciate more and more the things he taught me by word and example.  He is my hero!  I miss him everyday.

I don't remember a lot about my sister Kathleen.  I was 5 when she died.  But I know someday I will be able to get to know her again!
I was so blessed to have a grandma and grandpa that lived close to me growing up.  They loved us so much.  Grandpa would play games with us and grandma always had a special treat…usually hershey chocolate bars and grape juice.  Oh how I miss them still!

Joy was truly an elect lady.  I learned so much from her.  Most importantly she raised a wonderful son who I am so grateful is my husband.  Someday we will all be together again.
