Welcome Home Elder McNabb

There is nothing sweeter than welcoming home a returned missionary!  We have looked forward to this day for many months.  Everyone was here and we could hardly hold in the excitement.  We had three new additions while Austin was gone….Hannah, Maddie and Chalice so they had a sign that said, "We've been waiting our whole lives to meet you!"  The other children held a sign that said, "OPM knows you as Elder McNabb but to us you will always be Uncle Austy!"  

There is no way I can express in words the feeling as a mom when you see your son walk off that airplane.  There is so much love and pride that you are just about to explode.  I am so grateful that I have been able to do it two times with Griff and Austin.  In only 3 short years we will be sending Josh off.  I love those missionaries!!!!

Congratulations Nathan and Emily!

Bill, Griff, Whit, Maddie and I went to Spokane in June to my nephew Justin and his bride Emily's wedding.  We stayed in The Davenport Hotel which is one of Spokane's oldest and prettiest.  It was fun to be with family and witness such a special event.  Maddie stole the show as usual.  She was her happy crazy self.  It was so much fun!

They were married downtown in the old flour factory that has been renovated into an event center.  It was just how I love things…old and historic.  It was beautiful and so was this family….Brian. Kathleen, Justin, Emily, her mom and Nathan.

Again…here is the star of the show….Madison Lee.

There was a dance at the reception and we even got Billy Boy to get up and dance.  It was just a lot of fun….Griff and Whit look adorable!

PaY DaY!

Josh worked hard this spring picking rock on the farm.  It is hot, monotonous, and hard work.  He never complained.  He jumped up each morning, got his lunch and water, and was ready when they pulled in to pick him up.  You couldn't wipe the smile off his face when he got his check for his hard work.  It was pay day for him!
