Our One and Only Erin

Erin loves to read!

And she loves to read fantasy books.

So it wasn't surprising that at the New Year's Eve Youth Party

she found the place to be photographed in fantasy.

This picture is so much Erin…

We wouldn't want her any other way.

Her imagination is incredible and we love her just the way she is.

She is our ONE and ONLY ERIN!

IT'S GREAT TO BE 8!

I like to look for rainbows,

Whenever there is rain..

I want my life to be as clean as Earth right after rain

I want to be the best I can,

And live with God again.

It's great to be 8!  Avi turned 8 this year.  It is so hard to believe it has been 8 years since Griff went into the mission field.  Avi was born the day after he went into the MTC.  

She has been a joy ever since.  She has such a gentle, kind heart.  She is so nice to everyone and wants to include everyone and not leave anyone out.  She plays well with kids younger than her and those older than her.  She is a special little girl who brings so much joy into our lives.

All of us at our house, Austin, Brianna, Griff, Whit, Maddie and all of the Davis' went to Nyssa to see Avi be baptized.  Anna's mom and dad, Gaydeena and Larry, also came to the baptism.  We all arrived on Friday and spent the night.  It was so fun to be altogether.  And with Lee and Anna's beautiful new home we all fit perfectly.  Friday night we watched a movie and just visited.  Saturday was a beautiful warm, spring day so we played outside and just enjoyed each other.  

Avi's baptism was at 7 pm.  Caitlin talked on baptism and Austin talked on the Holy Ghost.  They did such a great job.  All the primary children sang "When I Am Baptized".  There were 5 primary children  from our family and 3 from Avi's ward that sang.  Hannah was hysterical!  She stood up there and sang her heart out and she burped in the middle of the verse and then just kept on singing! Everyone was laughing.  She was so cute…they all were.  

It was a fun, fun weekend! Wish we all lived next door to each other. I Love Us!

Painting Party

Brandon and Kirstin own a house that they rent out.  They had to redo the whole house because the renters trashed it.  We decided to help them paint it for family home evening.  It was a painting party! Caitlin was the designated babysitter.  Ryan came with us to help paint.  We worked hard and had the first coat on the basement in a couple of hours.  Work is always more fun when we do it together.  It was a "Painting Party!"

 Ryan and Brandon look like they are enjoying talking more than painting but they actually painted a lot.

 Kirstin wore a mask so she didn't breath in the paint fumes.  She looked a little like Darth Vador!

 We were happy painters.

And so you see…Erin thought we were painting portraits instead of painting the wall!  Pretty good if I say so myself!
