Our Little Bit of Paradise

We left for our annual trip to Mexico on March 18. Austin, Erin, Jordan, Josh, Grandma Seppi, Rhonda and I flew together. We overnighted in Los Angeles. We had taken Griff's old laptop computer with us. When we got to the hotel, I asked Austin for it so that I could check us in for our flight the next morning to Mazatlan. He looked in his back pack and got a horrified look on his face and said, "It's not in here." He had left it on the plane. Miraculously I got right through to the Alaska airline security at the airport. I explained the situation to the man and he said, "Today is your lucky day. The stewardess is just bringing it down from the plane to security." I knew that from that time on it was going to be a great trip!

When we got to the resort to check in, I told them my name and I saw them pull our reservation card but then there was a lot of talking back and forth in Spanish. I thought, "Oh no! They have messed up our reservation." The man then came to me and said that Chris, the man who sold us our time share, had thought that we might want to stay in the Villas for the week since Bill had to do work on the phone. (We had asked in an email before we left home if they had any units with Internet connections right in the rooms so Bill could plug in a phone that would be a local call in the United States.) I said, "Oh we can't afford the Villas." He said, "Oh this would be in exchange for your regular week." I then said, "You won't try and get us to buy a Villa while we are here will you?" He just laughed and said, "No."

So.....just take a look at why it was a week in Paradise. Our own little Villa with our own pool, hot tub and barbecue in the back. We loved every minute of it. It felt like our own little private get away......wish everyone had come with us this year to enjoy it!

Welcome to our Villa....won't you come in?

Our back yard complete with pool, lounge chairs, hot tub and barbecue.

We bought the volleyball net at the grocery store and had a great time playing

volleyball in the pool.

We barbecued every night! And the maids cleaned it everyday!

This is the living room looking out the doors that lead to the pool.

We watched movies everynight together....it was so relaxing.

Our full kitchen with dishwasher, oven and a washer and dryer.

We had three bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.........

This is the master bath.....yes you could get lost in it!

This is on Sunday, the "no swim" day. Jordan is dreaming of all his adventures tomorrow.

Monday finally came and they were in the pool from 7 am to 8:30 pm.

Who can make the biggest splash........Go Erin, Go Erin.

Austin even came out to lounge around the pool.

Tiny Bubbles.....Erin loved the jetted tub in the master bath.

After seeing paradise, don't have to wonder why we love it, huh?

Out for our Sunday stroll....Austin, Rhonda, Me and Mom.

Jordan and Josh catching some waves boggey boarding.

A little friendly game of pool volleyball.....Jordan and Austin vs Josh and Rhonda.

HEY! I don't think that's legal!

Look out......here comes the ball.

Erin enjoying the grass behind the Villa.

We loved having our own pool......some mom and me time.

Someone important arrived in a helicopter right behind our Villa.

One of the people who works at the resort thought it might have been

the President of Mexico.

Rhonda caught the reading bug from Grandma!

The boys were hard to keep our of the ocean, as usual.

Grandma Seppi enjoying the beach...Hey! where is her swimming suit??????

This prickly fish floated up on the beach. Wonder if that is what Griff stepped on

two years ago when he was in the ocean...........

Dad catching up on some much needed rest.....can't figure out why he

isn't out in the sun though.

Erin and Josh.....boogey boarding maniacs......

Taking a break......playing in the sand.....Josh, Jord and Erin.

The phone always comes on vacation.....we will take it to have dad!

Jordan trying on the local wares.....

More sand sculpting......

Erin getting her hair braided. This cute little couple were married

and each worked on braiding Erin's hair.

HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY ERIN!

Grandma took us out to dinner our last night for Erin's birthday.

The week always goes too quickly......we love our vacations in paradise!
