Big brown eyes and hugs and kisses
Going to work everyday with Bill
Wearing the uniform of the team Griff
was currently playing on and following him
and his teammates around
Saying, "Mom, I'm not deeter, I just made that way"
when I tell would tell him he was dirty and needed
a bath.....
So many memories that seem just a not so long ago.
Elder Austin Joseph McNabb has been called to serve in the Portland, Oregon mission for 2 years!
Austin's mission call came when we were back east on our trip. It set on his bed for 2 days. We got home late Saturday night. Early Sunday morning we all gathered to watch him open it. He was overcome by emotion when he first started to read it. The spirit confirmed to me as he said, "Portland, Oregon" that that is where Heavenly Father wants him and it will be the perfect mission for him. He is so excited. He has such a loving, tender personality. He will touch so many as he serves. He leaves on
July 5. Congratulations Elder McNabb!
Some support from a loving father.....they have such a great relationship.
Brittany, a nonmember friend, is from Oregon City, Oregon which is in Austin's mission. Austin will seek out her family if he serves in that area. Heavenly Father is in charge!
Dave and Roxanne Jackson, Grandpa, Austin and Bill reading all about Austin's mission.
What a blessing Chris Yost has been in our lives! He has faithfully served as a Home Teaching companion to both Griff and Austin. They have been taught about serving others through him.
Austin's second family....The McSpadden's....Chandler, Brother McSpadden and Trent.
Austin and Ms. A, as Austin calls her.
Two awesome, faithful sons.....Austin has some big shoes to fill as he follows Griff's example of being an obedient missionary.
