Kurt, Ann, Peter, Austin and I went on a road trip to Nathan's graduation. It didn't seem like a long ride at all with DVD's to watch and a lot of catching up to do. We arrived on Friday evening and Brian and Kathleen had made a delicious polenta dinner for us. I haven't had polenta forever.....a staple growing up with my Italian grandparents, and it tasted soooo good. Saturday I went for an amazing 8 mile run. I felt like I could have run forever. The weather was cool, the road was flat, and it felt so good. Brian and Kathleen had to go to some other grad parties before Nathan's so Ann and I assured them we would take care of things on the home front. The caterers were suppose to be there at 1. When it got to 2 pm we started to panic. The party for Nathan started at 4 and the caterers finally showed up at 4:30. Brian was his usual, "Oh, don't worry. They will get here." Kathleen not so much....we went to the store and bought desserts to serve just in case they didn't show up. All in all it turned out to be a very nice and fun party!

Mom, Ann and I gave this bird bath and rose tree to Kathleen in memory of her Father and Mother. Kathleen lost her mom and dad and battled breast cancer in a 9 month period this past year. She has had a wonderful attitude....she is my hero!
We didn't stay for the graduation ceremony on Sunday, but here are a couple of photos I took off of Facebook. Kathleen and Nate each with a friend of Nathan's. Girlfriend??? IDK!
