Heavenly Father Keeps His Promises...

I am so grateful for my testimony that Heavenly Father knows and loves us individually.  So many times during the day I see his hand in my life through tender mercies and blessings.  Jordan took this picture one afternoon during a rainstorm.  We are so blessed to live where we do and have the beautiful things Heavenly Father has given us.  Heavenly Father ALWAYS keeps his promises!

National Scout Jamboree

Josh had the wonderful opportunity to go to the National Scout Jamboree in Virginia this summer.  He was gone for almost 3 weeks which seemed like an eternity.  He called a few times and always sounded like he was having a blast.  His troop went on a church History tour after the Jamboree.  He said that his favorite place of all was the Sacred Grove.  I am so grateful that he felt the spirit and I hope he never forgets those tender feelings he had.  Here are a few pictures...(more will follow when we get them off of his camera. )

All ready to go.....
Josh's leader sent me this picture of Josh on the front row of a huge concert they were having at the Jamboree.  That is the front row of 60,000 people!

Called to SERVE....

Many times when we think of Missionaries we think of them walking down the street (or riding their bikes) and knocking on door after door trying to share the Gospel.  But missionary work is a lot more.  It is not only that but it is learning to LOVE to SERVE others no matter what.  To put others before yourself and submit willfully to all that our Heavenly Father asks us to do.  Austin has gotten to know the Padbury family.  They are members of a ward in the same building as Austin's ward.
Austin called to ask her something the other day and then asked her if they could help her do anything.  She said that they were power washing their deck and that it was a big job.  That's all that she had to say and Austin and his (new) companion Elder Neerings were there.  They had a great time and helped Sister Padbury a lot.  She sent me an email and in her own words she said:

"My husband and I were so grateful for the hours of service your sons
did for us today. We accomplished a lot, and the deck should be ready
to treat in a couple of days. Your sons even pleaded for another
chance to help us with the deck. Do you suppose they loved playing
with the sander we rented from Home Depot??? Or, maybe it was just a
fun time to spend in the son in casual clothes. I suspect, however,
that they loved the opportunity to serve."

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL???

Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the weather, pumpkins, changing leaves, the colors, the smells and especially I LOVE FOOTBALL.  Griff only had a week with little Maddie at home and then had to start fall camp.  Thats OK because Whit and Maddie came and watched him.  They are the best fans of all!

Even though she falls asleep, she is there in spirit!

What a cute family....Whit, Griff and Maddie!

So Many Princesses.....

Every little girls dream.....Princess Camp.  Anyway, that is Kira's dream and it came true.  Linda Larsen had a Princess Camp at her studio.  Kira went all week and loved it.  They did crafts, learned dances, sang songs and got to do it with Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, and Tangled.  On Friday we got to come and watch her receive her Tiara and become a princess.
Princess Kira....We love you!

Patiently waiting for her Tiara...

Summer Fun

This summer has flown by so quickly.  Only 2 weeks until school starts.... We have tried to pack as much fun as we could in the few weeks.  The weather has been unseasonable hot this year so we find ourselves wherever we can cool off!

We love Lava....Kira, Kalli and Hannah

A Lava visit always means a visit to Grandma Seppi's.  Such a happy picture...

I Love My Birthdays Everyone.....

I love everything about birthdays....cake, ice cream, the celebration, EveRyThInG!  My mom planned a special birthday party for my great aunt Afton Roberts.  She is in a nursing home in Pocatello.  My mom brought my aunt Shirley, Garnett Taylor, and Faye Jones into Poky and then I drove them to the party.  Karen Lish, another bridge playing friend, met us there.  This all took place on my birthday which made it extra fun.  These sweet ladies have been ones that I have looked up to and grown up with.  There is nothing I would have rather done than spent it with them.  And on top of it, it made me feel really young!
HAPPY 94TH BIRTHDAY AUNT AFTON!

It's A Small World......

I know that Portland is only 10 hours away from Pocatello.  It seems like it's in our back yard when we think of missionaries being sent all over the world.  But when you don't know many people there, Portland can be on the other side of the world.
Austin's companion was asked to play the piano for a baptism in another ward. When they walked into the room for the baptism, Austin heard someone say, "Well, hello Austin."  President and Sister Morby were there and Sister Morby looked at Austin and said, "That's a little too friendly."  It was all good because the sister who called out to Austin was Suzanne Hicks, from Pocatello, who was Bill's secretary for many years and our dear family friend.  Her grandson was the one being baptized.  I had just emailed Austin that he need to get in contact with Suzanne's son, Brady, who is less active.  Heavenly Father does hear and answer our prayers.....it is a small world.

Best Friends....

Bill has many friends but one of his closest and best friends is Kyle Whittingham.  They can talk every week or once every few months, but when they do they just pick up where they left off.  Bill has been a great strength and mentor to Kyle and Kyle had been a wonderful support and friend to Bill.  They love to work out together. talk football, church and family and just support and help each other.  They are best friends....
Kyle asked Bill to ordain him a High Priest.  Bill doesn't miss too many Sunday's in his ward but for his best friend Kyle he did.....cause that's what you do for your best friends!

33 Wonderful Years!

I am one LUCKY girl!  I have been married for 33 years to the man of my dreams.  He is my best friend and I would rather be with him than any one on earth!  He is so kind and good to me.  Every year for the past 8 years we have gone to Salt Lake and stayed at The Grand America for our anniversary.  We love it....the rooms are beautiful.  We relax, work out together, go to dinner and just enjoy being together.  I am so grateful that I get to spend this life with him and Eternity.  He is the
Man of my Dreams!

Welcome Beautiful Girl!

Well. it looks like those lemon cupcakes worked.  Whitney wasn't feeling anything so I drove home with my friends.  I got home at 11 pm and at 2pm the next afternoon, Roxanne and I were back on the road to Cedar City because Whitney was in labor.  We drove as fast as we could but just missed the arrival of this beautiful princess.  She was born at 7:05, thirty minutes before our arrival.  Whitney did fine without us and it was a wonderful experience for Griff and Whit to have together.

SHE IS BEAUTIFUL!

OH HOW WE LOVE HER!

There is nothing better than to see your child become a parent for the first time.  They hold that precious baby in their arms and look down at her and then they look at you and then look back at the baby and I can just hear them saying in their head, "Do you love ME as much as I love HER?"  The love that they feel for their new baby is greater than they have ever felt and suddenly they realize just how much we love them.
I loved watching Griff experience this miracle.  He is so in love and such a good daddy.  Whitney is a wonderful mother and they are going to be the best parents ever.  Madison is a very blessed little girl!

Madison's first official photo...Welcome little one!
The cute little family....Griff, Whit and Maddie.

She's a miracle....

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being a grandma!
Roxanne and I had to have a little fun with all our helping out so we went for a bike ride and stopped by to say Hi! to Maddie.
Welcome home little one.....

Daddy's little girl.....
Maddie had to sleep on lights because she was a little jaundiced.  She was okay as long as her hands were out and she had her binky.
It was so hard to say goodbye.....wish we lived closer so I could have a snuggle everyday!
It's hard to be a stay awake when you are so new...

That looks like a happy papa.
Sweet dreams...

Maddie loves to lay on her daddy's chest and sleep.
