Roxanne, Whitney's mom, got some passes to hike the Narrows in Zion's National Park and invited me and Cait to go with her. Whitney and Sierra, Whitney's niece, came too. There were about 11 of us that hiked it together. I had no idea what to expect. We spend 11 hours hiking 16 miles and most of that was crossing back and forth the river. It was breath taking beautiful! I stood in awe of our Heavenly Father who created all of this for us. I thought of the majesty of the high cliffs and mountains and then realized that how magnificent these formations were, we were greater in our Heavenly Father's eyes. Our potential is to become like Him….WOW! So grateful for my testimony and this beautiful land we live in. So grateful for our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. So grateful that they are in the details of our lives and are there to help us reach our potential.
Getting ready the night before the big hike….Me, Roxanne, Whitney and Sierra.
The morning of our hike….we left in the dark but finished in the light.
The very first of the hike before we got in the canyon.
I look like the long lost explorer! Scary!!!
Sierra, Me and Roxanne.
Having fun along the way…Roxanne, Whitney, Me , Cait and Sierra.
Cait and I found this mermaid cave…at least that's what we thought it looked like.
Lots of walking in the river...
These pictures are a little out of order….in the van riding to the top of the hike.
We don't know what our adventure holds….Roxanne and me.
Back to the start of the hike….
Finally after 6 hours of hiking we stopped for lunch…food never tasted so good!
We found a water fall along the way that we had to have a picture on….
And of course Whitney had to do a ballerina pose….so pretty!
This is right towards the end and the words from my mouth are "Are we there yet?"
YES! We reached the end after 11 hours….
It felt good to sit down and get all the sand out of our shoes and socks.
It was such a fun adventure to do together….Cait, me, Roxanne, Sierra and Whitney.
