Mission or Vacation????

Austin is having so much fun on his mission that I find myself thinking, "Is he on a mission or a vacation?"  Then I have to remind myself that Austin has fun with whatever he is doing.  He is just a happy, positive boy!  And boy is he having fun......

A member got him and his companion in the Nike employee store.
Is Austin on a missionary budget???

He loves his companion, Elder Nielsen.

Aaron and Jessica were married on April 27, 2013 in the Salt Lake Temple.  We weren't able to go to the wedding because we were at Griff's spring game.  Their reception in Inkom was on May 3.  Jess asked me to decorate for her.  It was so much fun.  Everything turned out beautiful....especially the bride.
 Congratulations and Love always!

SUU Spring Ball 2013

SUU's spring football game was on April 27th.  Bill and I drove down to Cedar City on Thursday so we could spend a few days with Griff and Whit.  On the way down, Manae sent me a text that Bjorn and Kris had had their baby that morning.  So we stopped in Provo to see the new little princess.  So many memories came flooding back as we went in Utah Valley Hospital to see them.  That is where Austin was born and we were able to be there with him when he was born.  It's hard to believe that almost 20 years have gone by since then.  What a fun 20 years it has been with that boy!  Anyway, Bjorn and Kris were surprised to see us.  We had a nice visit and I was able to snuggle cute little Emmaline Jane.

 Sweet Little EmJ

Kris, EmJ, and Bjorn.....where are Gabby and Maddy?
On Friday we went to St. George to play.  We spent some time walking around the Temple.  It is so beautiful and peaceful!

It was so fun watching Griff play football again.  He held for the kick-offs, returned punts and kick-offs, played receiver, and even played DB and intercepted a pass.  One of his coaches said that he called one of the plays during the game and it scored a TD.  He is amazing!

These are some of Griff and Whit's best friends....Britney, Ella and Fatu Moala.
One of Griff's favorite families in Colombia when he served his mission was the Parada family.  Melanie Parada came from Colombia to visit us for awhile.  She is wonderful and we are so glad she is here.

Austin's mission companion's best friend plays for SUU.  Elder Nielsen's mom, Amy, came down to watch their friend play.  So fun to meet her and talk about our boys!

Elder McNabb and Elder Nielsen...AGAIN?

Austin found out that he was getting a new companion in the March transfers and that he would become a trainer.  He was a little nervous about being a trainer.  The Elder that trained Austin was Elder Nielsen and he loved him.  So when he was introduced to the Elder he was going to train and found his name to be Elder Nielsen and that he was a UTE fan, he was so excited.  They get along great.  Austin is loving his mission!

GO UTES!

Enjoying dinner with one of the families in his ward.

The Living Christ

The young women in our ward are amazing!  They set a goal to memorize the Living Christ in three months. Then they took a trip to the Salt Lake Temple Visitors Center and stood before the Christus and recited it.  I am so grateful for the inspired leaders these girls have.  They are so blessed!

The Laurels....Sierra, Kelsie, Aubrey, Kaelyn, Makenna, Sister Kathy Kirkham and Erin.
They also did baptisms at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.
