Every year we talk about going to Temple Square as a family at Christmas time and looking at the lights, but it just doesn't ever happen. This year we did it! and everyone was able to make it. Griff and Whit came up from Cedar and met us and Cait and Ryan came from Twin and met us. We did a little shopping (everyone tired of that quickly), and then we went to Olive Garden for an early dinner.
Kenneth Scott, a Utah teammate of Griff's we've gotten close to, and his girlfriend Brittany met us for dinner. When Kenneth came around the corner, Jordan's face lit up and he went right up to him and said, "Hi! How are you?' He put his arm on Kenneth's shoulder and he just kept saying that over and over. I thought that I was surprised that Jordan remembered Kenneth so well and was so excited to see him. Then all of a sudden Jordan looked at Cait and said, "That's not Austin." It nearly broke my heart when I realized that Jordan thought that Kenneth was Austin and that was why he was so glad to see him. He is going to be so excited when Austin comes home in 6 months.
We went on a tour of the Beehive House and then walked through Temple Square. There were so many people but the spirit of the Savior was so strong. What a blessing it is to know that He lives and loves us! I am so grateful for all the Savior has done for us. It was such a fun time to be together in that spirit.
